As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days.

It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing. In short, prices may change without notice. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Those will give you the large middle opening just no side vents, but at least your air intake won't be compromised from rain/car washing etc.The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. If you plan to stay with your current air intake then I would look at some of the GT500 replica hoods out there instead of this one. My IAT's consistently stay within 3-6 degrees of ambiant temperature as long as the car is not just idiling. I have the Roush intake which is a closed top (for the 18+ model years) and I've been very happy with it. So if you currently have an air intake that only seals when the hood closes then unfortunately I do not recommend this hood, unless you change to a closed lid intake. Nothing dramatic, but you can tell a difference after handling both.Īs for the intake, the driver's side vent literally sits right over the air intake area. As for weight, it's hard to say for sure, but if I had to guess I would say this hood is maybe 15-20 lbs lighter than the stock hood. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. For anyone with an open box air intake, I do not recommended getting this hood. Also, I have a closed box air intake so I have zero concerns of water getting into my air intake. Even after washing the car it wasnt an excessive amount of water getting under the hood and was easy to dry off, but driving the car in heavy rain could be a different story. There is no rain guard option for the left and right vents but if you're buying this hood you're probably not worried about water getting into the engine bay anyway (unless you have an open box air intake). Last but not least, I purchased the optional rain guard pan for the center vent area but since taking it off the first time I probably wont re-install it unless I take the car out of town. You will not be able to transfer the windshield washer nozzles to this hood (without your own modification at least) so keep that in mind in case that's a deal killer for you. The hood pins you see did not come wtih it, I added those for extra safety. I was not able to get my hood struts to work well with it so Im back to a prop rod (no biggie I guess). Getting it painted was a pain (mostly because of the shop I dealt with). The fender lines are good, the front bumper might be a hair larger gap on one side than the other but I'd say it's 95% spot on. First of all, fitment was excellent, better than I expected. Some people have asked so here is a quick summary and some photos of the Trufiber A88 heat extractor hood I recently installed onto my 2020 GT PP1 since I seem to be one of the first 18+ S550's to get one.
